With the introduction of World of Warcraft Patch 10.0.7, players who reach level 50 with a Human character that is Exalted with Stormwind can now accept the Human Heritage questline. The questline follows the story of former Defias Brotherhood leader Vanessa VanCleef and spymaster Matthias Shaw as they uncover a sinister plot hatched by a Stormwind noble. For players who previously completed the Drakefire Amulet questline in Vanilla WoW, a special cutscene and dialogue options are available throughout the quest.

The Human Heritage questline includes several unique dialogue options and a special cutscene for those who completed the Drakefire Amulet questline in Vanilla WoW. During the cutscene, players will see the events leading up to Onyxia revealing her human guise, which ultimately leads to her defeat. For adventurers who completed the quest, they will appear in the cutscene as a Stormwind guard instead of the generic character. Additionally, spymaster Matthias Shaw’s dialogue changes to recognize the character’s presence and that the Drakefire Amulet remained in their possession.

Later, players will meet a character named Ragged John, who previously played a role in the Vanilla quest line. All players will interact with him, but players who completed the Drakefire Amulet quest in Vanilla WoW will receive special dialogue options. However, John is too drunk to recognize the character’s presence.

Players also find special dialogue options in other locations throughout the game. These include the Dragon Isles, Dracthyr Evoker characters, and the new Orc Priest NPCs in Dragonflight. All of these interactions are unique to players who have completed certain quests and story campaigns in other expansions.

In conclusion, Blizzard has been providing unique dialogue options for players more often in recent history, which helps make World of Warcraft fans feel like a part of a living and breathing world. These special lines of dialogue and interactions help players feel important and recognize their accomplishments. World of Warcraft will continue to provide references to the past actions of characters in upcoming patches and expansions.
